Welcome to The Neuron Clinic Research Department
Here at the Neuron Clinic, we believe in providing patients with access to diverse clinical research trials in the neurological field and we invite participants who are interested in research as well as sponsors looking for new research sites to contact us. We encourage you to meet our group under the “our team” tab.
What Is a Clinical Research Trial?
A clinical research trial begins with scientists and doctors planning and testing new medical treatments on both healthy and ill volunteers. These treatments may include FDA-approved and non-approved drugs, device(s), or methods of care. Clinical trials help make it possible to find new and improved ways to treat, diagnose, and possibly prevent an array of illnesses.
Advantages of Clinical Research Trials
We invite you to reach out and see if you qualify for any of our ongoing or future clinical research trials, keeping in mind that research offers alternative medical care and treatments that are not generally part of standard medical care. When volunteers participate in clinical research trials, they are amongst the first to learn about and help develop new cutting-edge treatments that include new medications, new devices, and even observational trials of FDA-approved products. Clinical research trials can advance not only patient care and quality of life but also help advance medicine for future patients. In addition, patients receive comprehensive medical testing and examination by board-certified neurologists, with enough time per-appointment to address each patient’s concerns. Reasonable reimbursement for your time and travel expenses may be available to qualified research study participants.
Patient Care and Safety
Patient care and safety is our top priority and The Neuron Clinic’s research department follows U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines, the Global International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), and all required Good Clinical Practices (GCPs). Most medical treatments involve some degree of risk, and this includes clinical research trials. These risks depend on the types of treatments studied as well as the general health and wellbeing of the participants. Trial participation allows you as the participant to share any and all side effects to make improvements on what is being studied. Also keep in mind that all provided personal information will be kept confidential. Advancements in medicine and medical care can only happen with the ongoing participation of research participants.
